Abstract: Objective To analyze the affecting factors and effect of tuberculosis interfering in the poor rural areas in Henan.Methods 1.Establishing and strengthening anti-tuberculosis networks from county to village level. 2.Making it standardization that the management procedure of DOTS. 3. Providing free treatment to communicable tuberculosis patients and serious smear negative cases. 4. Conducting trails in some townships at the beginning, and then extending it after summarizing.Results The cure rate for initial and retreatment smear positive cases is 86.7% and 66.4%, respectively. And the DOTS rate is 71.4%.Conclusion By the implementation of health-Ⅷ project, it is improved obviously that the working condition for the anti-tuberculosis staff. And the technical competence of technicians increased gradually. Also, the cure rate for tuberculosis cases increased.
