Analysis of correspondence rate between pathological and clinical diagnosis of 542 tuberculous cases

Abstract: Objective To explore correspondence rate between pathological and clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis.Methods The pathological biopsy samples with tuberculosis in period 1986 to 1996 were reviewed.Results The correspondence rate of span 1991~1996 was not significant as compared with that of span 1986~1990.The correspondence rate of tuberculosis of bone and joint was the highest with the lowest correspondence rate of pharyngolaryngeal tuberculosis( P <0 01).With age growing,the correspondence rate decreased accordingly.Conclusion Enough attention should be paid to the clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis.
