Abstract: The fact that the provincial level prevalence data were not obtained through the recent two national TB epidemiological surveys, brings difficulties for prevalence and disease burden estimation for each province. The spatial interpolation method can be used to predict the data of notsampled areas by data of sampled areas. The author summarized the characteristics and principles of several common used spatial interpolation methods, and their applications in TB and other fields. The author also prospected the application of spatial interpolation method in TB prevalence calculation.
