Abstract: Objective Check the tuberculosis in patients who are nonsputum pulmonary cases, improve the sputum checking rate.Method 362 outpatients sampled randomly in three groups,use(1)3.6% salt water(2)0.1% peppermint water(3)10% salt water respectively to check the TB bacilli by ultrasonic nebulization. Results The draining sputum rate of the second group( P<0.01)is obviousy higher than the first and the third. The sputum positive rate of the first group(22.1%)is obviously higher than the second group(6.8%) and is nearly the same with the third (14.2%).There is no difference in the effetive sputum positive sputum checking rate( P >0.05)among the three groups. Conclusion 3.6% salt water can both drain sputum from the 73.1% of the nonsputum patients and check tuberculosis from the 22.1% of the nonsputum patients, moreover,it's convenient and economical and can be used widely.
