Clinical analysis of a human avian influenza case in mainland China

Abstract: Objective To study the clinical characteristics of the first human avian influenza case in mainland China.Methods Analysed and summarized the clinical information of the human avian influenza case.Results The development of the disease was extremely fast,and its prognosis was poor.Clinical feature included high fever,cough,dyspnea,shadow of lung in X-ray film and multiple organ failure syndrome.Virus was isolated,cultured and identified as avian influenza A(H5N1)viruse.Conclusions Human avian influenza is a emerging,severe and acute infectious disease,and high importance should be attached to it.
