Abstract: Objective To study the discrimination diagnosis value of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) on benign and malignance lung disease. Methods The levels of ANP in (BALF) were determined by radioimmunoassay (RIA), from 34 cases of lung cancer and 60 cases of benign lung disease. Results The levels of ANP in BALF from patients with lung cancer are significantly higher than those in benign lung disease (P<0.01). Conclusions ANP adopted simultaneously can increase the diagnosis level in differentiating malignance from benign lung disease.
