Abstract

Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major public health problems worldwide. China has the second highest TB burden globally. In view of the current technical strategies employed in TB control and prevention in China, the implementation status was described from immunization, case detection, treatment and management and care, the problems existed in BCG protection efficiency, tuberculosis case finding strategy, diagnostic methods and capacity, treatment course and anti-tuberculosis drug, patient compliance, case management tools, the complemen-tation quality of conducting Directly Observed Treatment (DOT), policy on free tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, health insurance level and patient care were analyzed, and practical solutions were provided as well.
