Abstract: Objective To understand the value of lipoarabinomannan-IgG and TB-DNA in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis. Methods CSF was the detective specimen.LAM-IgG was detected with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).TB-DNA was detected with polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results The positive rate of LAM-IgG and TB-DNA in 102 patients with tuberculous meningitis was 51.0%(52/102) and 81.4%(83/102).The positive rate of LAM-IgG and TB-DNA was 91.2%(93/102).But 40 control cases were all negative. Conclusion LAM-IgG and TB-DNA in CSF were useful index for the diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis.
