Abstract: Objective To observe the features of experimental tuberculosis in Wistar rats.Methods Wistar rats were intravenously injected with H₃₇R_v.They were sacrificed six weeks later to observe pathomorphology changes in lung,liver,and spleen tissues.We also did Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture of lung tissues.Results There are typical tubercle lesions in the lung tissues of experimental rats but not in liver,and spleen tissues,and 100% of the positive controls were infected.Conclusion Wistar rats can be infected by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and can be used as animal model of experimental tuberculosis.
