The effect of "Cross-Regional Referral Health Education Model" among floating population with TB disease

Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of “Cross-Regional Referral Health Education Model” among Floating Population of TB patients Methods A total of 486 cases of floating population with TB disease were randomly divided into research and control groups. The research and control group were intervened with “Cross-regional referral health education model” and “Routine TB health education” respectively. TB knowledge awareness rate and treatment compliance of the two groups were compared to evaluate the effect of intervention.  Results The TB knowledge awareness rate was 95.52% in research group, which was significantly higher than that of 79.58% in control group (P<0.05). The treatment compliance rate was 88.21% in research group, significantly higher than that of 64.17% in the control groups (P<0.05).  Conclusion “Cross-Regional Referral Health Education Model” has profound effect in improving TB awareness and treatment compliance in floating population with TB disease. This model could be scaled up in TB cases management in floating population.
