The analysis of the perioperative management of 32 pulmonary tuberculosis cases with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the perioperative management of pulmonary tuberculosis patients with diabetes mellitus.Methods The surgical treatment was performed on 32 pulmonary tuberculosis cases with diabetes mellitus and the retrospective analysis was made.Results The blood glucose level of 32 cases was controlled to a reasonable level.All the patients underwent operation.There were no serious complications during perioperative period.Conclusion Although diabetes mellitus was an unfavorable factor for pulmonary tuberculosis patients who underwent operation,the important factors related to the successful operation are emphasizing the examination of the levels of blood glucose and the levels of glucose in urine,and adjusting the dose of insulin.
