Abstract: Objective To determine the treatment outcome of pulmonary tuberculosis in floating population. MethodTo provide free diagnosis and treatment to the patients in floating population Donggduan, as the same policy applied to resident population. And DOTS was implemented. ResultThere are 1171cases registered and treated from August 2001 to June.2004. The cure rate of initial treatment cases with smear-positive was 98.5%. The treatment outcome was close to the outcome of the patient of resident population. ConclusionThe DOTS strategy was implemented in floating population was feasible and effective.
