Journal Development History
Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (CN: 10-1695/R; ISSN: 2096-8493; Official Website: www.jtbld.cn) is a national-level medical academic journal distributed domestically and internationally. It is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Antituberculosis Association, edited by the Editorial Board of Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, and published by the Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis Publishing House.
Currently indexed by Chinese Academic Journal Abstracts, Wanfang Data, CNKI, VIP Database, Chaoxing Database, and the Chinese Core Journals (Selection) Database, the journal is also included in the professional title evaluation journal catalog of more than ten provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions including Beijing, Guangdong, Fujian, Liaoning, Shaanxi and Xinjiang.
First launched in April 1995 under the title International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (Chinese Edition), it was renamed Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Health in July 2012, and adopted its current name Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in June 2020. With over 30 years of accumulation, the journal has grown into a pivotal academic platform in the field, advancing side by side with the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis and lung diseases in China.
The 3rd Editorial Board Embarks on a New Journey
In April 2026, the 3rd Editorial Board of Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases was officially established, with Professor Lu Xiwei serving as Editor-in-Chief. The newly optimized core team features a proper scale and rational structure, consisting of 16 Associate Editors, 17 Senior Editorial Board Members, 125 Editorial Board Members and 123 Corresponding Editorial Board Members, marking a new chapter for the journal’s development.
Boasting a balanced age gradient and comprehensive professional coverage, the team specializes in tuberculosis, lung diseases and related disciplines. All members will unite closely, fulfill their duties with dedication, and devote themselves to journal development. With profound academic attainments and a strong sense of responsibility, the team will strictly control publication quality, guide academic development, and jointly forge a new milestone for the journal’s high-quality growth.
