On December 19, 2020, the Forum on Prevention and Treatment of Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases and the general meeting of the Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis and the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (hereinafter referred to as "the two journals") were successfully held in Beijing Feitian Building. The leaders and guests attending the meeting included Liu Jianjun, president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, general director of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, Wang Su, director of the journal office of the Academic Department of China Association of Science and Technology, Cheng Shiming, vice president and secretary-general of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, former vice president of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, Huang Chun, vice president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, and Chen Xiaoyou, vice president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, Tang Shenjie, editor in chief of the first Editorial Board of the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, Zhao Yanlin, director of the tuberculosis prevention and control center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Li Wei, deputy director of the Peking University Medical Library, Wang Lixia, deputy president of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, Xue Aihua, director of the editorial department of the two journals. More than 200 editorial board members, experts and all staff of the editorial department of the two journals in the research field related to tuberculosis and lung diseases are to be hired in the new edition.
The opening ceremony of the meeting was presided over by Huang Chun, Vice Chairman of Chinese Antituberculosis Association. In his speech, Liu Jianjun, the president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association and the general director of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, fully affirmed the work done by the members of the editorial board of the two journals in the last edition headed by Professor Xiao Heping and Professor Tang Shenjie and all colleagues of the journal office, and hoped that the team of the editorial board of the two journals in the new edition headed by researcher Wang Lixia and Professor Tang Shenjie and all staff of the journal office would inherit the spirit of the team of the editorial board of the previous edition, Bring new impetus and development to the development of the two journals. He pointed out that the periodical office of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis is an important entity of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, which will vigorously support the development of periodicals, promote scientific and technological innovation, transform achievements, prosper academic research and promote discipline development. In his speech, Cheng Shiming, vice president and secretary-general of Chinese Antituberculosis Association and former vice president of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, affirmed the achievements of the two journals, pointing out that the development of the journals not only has the characteristics of the new era, but also faces many difficulties and challenges. He hopes that the two journals will continue to adhere to the high standards and strict requirements of academic quality, and that all editorial boards will work together to ensure the improvement of the academic quality of the two journals. Professor Xiao Heping, chief editor of the 9th Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, summarized the work of the 9th Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis in the form of online video, and expressed good wishes for the establishment of the new Editorial Board. Later, Xue Aihua, the editorial director of the two journals, made an in-depth analysis and summary of the editing and publishing work of the two journals, and appealed to the experts present to submit the best contributions to the two journals.
After the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Huang Chun announced the formal establishment of the 10th Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis and the 2nd Editorial Board of the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases. Liu Jianjun, the president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association and the general director of the periodical office of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, awarded the appointment letter to Wang Lixia, the researcher in chief of the tenth editorial board of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, and Professor Tang Shenjie, the chief editor of the second editorial board of Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases; Cheng Shiming, vice chairman and secretary-general of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, Huang Chun and Chen Xiaoyou, vice chairmen of Chinese Antituberculosis Association, are deputy chief editors of the two journals, and representatives of overseas editorial boards issue letters of appointment; Liu Jianjun, the president of Chinese Antituberculosis Association and the general director of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, Wang Lixia, the vice president of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, issued letters of appointment to Fan Yongde, the general office director of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis and the editorial director of Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, Li Jingwen, the editorial director of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, and Guo Meng, the deputy editorial director of the two journals.
Researcher Wang Lixia, editor in chief of the 10th Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, delivered a speech on behalf of the 10th Editorial Board. She said that this editorial committee met with an unprecedented opportunity for the development of settlement prevention and periodicals. There is no reason why we should not do our work well. Call on the editorial board members to perform their duties well, inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the predecessors, live up to their youth and mission, devote all their resources to the development of journals, and make the greatest efforts and contributions to the cause of knot prevention! Professor Tang Shenjie, chief editor of the second editorial committee of the Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, delivered a speech on behalf of the second editorial committee. He pointed out that the members of the editorial board of the current session were more widely distributed in terms of their specialties. In combination with the characteristics of the magazine, many experts in lung disease related research fields were recruited. He wished the new editorial board greater progress.
During the exchange session, Li Wei, Deputy Director of Peking University Medical Library, reported on the selection criteria of Peking University core journals. Researcher Zhao Yanlin, director of the tuberculosis prevention and control center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and prevention and editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Antituberculosis, explained in detail the promotion role of academic journals in the prevention and control of tuberculosis combined with work examples. Professor Jiang Shiwen, Professor Li Liang, Professor Jin Feng and Professor Zhang Xiaoju, on behalf of the editorial board members of the two journals, shared their experience in doing a good job as editorial board members and their ideas for future work.
During the intermission of the meeting, the editorial departments of the two journals invited the chief editor and deputy chief editor of the new editorial team to hold a symposium to discuss the long-term development of the journal and the annual plan for 2021.
In the academic exchange link of tuberculosis and lung disease prevention and control, Professor Liu Jianjun, Professor Wu Jing, Professor Xu Dongqun, Professor Li Zhongjie, Professor Cao Bin and Professor Mei Jian respectively discussed China's tuberculosis control strategy, the epidemic situation and prevention and control progress of chronic non communicable lung diseases, the risk of novel coronavirus aerosol transmission and prevention and control progress, China's influenza monitoring and control progress, pneumonia diagnosis and treatment progress Six topics of tuberculosis control strategies and main measures were shared.
The meeting has a compact schedule and rich contents. The experts attending the meeting actively offered suggestions for the development of the journal. The meeting was successfully held with the support of leaders, guests, experts and editorial board members, and the joint efforts of all colleagues of the journal office.
